Top Judge Al Doyle

Al is a retired creative director and copywriter based in Seattle. He spent 19 years as Partner at Fusion, where he helped real estate firms with branding and marketing.

In 2018, Al took his expertise and put it to work for his church under the name RETRO:FIT. His new endeavor helps the leadership of churches find new value in their existing properties.

As a creative, AABSA is proud to have Al as one of our top judges, scoring 11 out of 11.

Since the logo contest and poster contest remain open, the rest of our judges have an opportunity to vote in these 2 contests, as well as the 7 others. No cheating by asking Al for the answers! Good luck!

Al is on top of the Leader Board, sharing that spot with 8 other judges.

As the results to future contests are rolled out, the competition will get more challenging. But every judge is guaranteed at least 1 point just for participation.

That means 9 points minimum if you vote in all 9 contests and get all 9 wrong (almost impossible – you'd have to try!)

The Photographer Contest

This is a hard contest to judge. Each photographer is excellent, and their portfolios are extensive.

The question to ask yourself is not "Who is better?" The question is "Which of these photographers can I see myself working with or representing my product?"

Or another question might be "Which photographer approaches their assignment with the kind of feeling or personality that resonates with me?"

With selection framed in this way, you should be able to polish this category off in about 2 minutes.
