I am now better. I tested negative yesterday.
During my time convalescing, I had the opportunity to think more about how AABSA can help you. Here are my thoughts:
Agency Clients
There are hundreds of agencies in this country. They fall into roughly three categories: 1) International multi-office agencies; 2) Local or regional agencies with 3 to 300 employees; and 3) 1 and 2 person shops.
The primary benefit AABSA offers agency clients is the ability to quickly scan a city's top firms, have their contact and website information immediately at hand, and, if that agency is competing in one of the creative contests, get a snapshot of what they feel is outstanding and sets them

Advertising Agencies
AABSA is another way to show your best creative work. Too many agency portfolios contain outstanding work which is rarely seen. AABSA pledges to show your best work to our members, and provide the added notoriety you deserve.
Importantly, if you are a regional agency keen on growth, but with little time to promote yourself to potential clients, our contests get the word out.
Independent Creatives
No one knows you are out there unless you have a forum to show what you can do. AABSA provides that forum.
On a more practical note, AABSA shows you through our City Pages how others in your area of expertise are presenting themselves. This is invaluable information.
USP
Nowhere else in our industry is there a contest-based intersection of the benefits of our 3 target audiences. Everyone gains by participating. And there is the added benefit that testing your creative eye against 1000's of fellow members of the community is fun and challenging.
Here is what I want to do going forward:
– I want to promote individual judges more.
To do this, I will continue the popular "Top Judges" newsletter. To add value to the newsletter, if you are a Top Judge, you may email me with a date you would like your feature to be circulated. In this way, you can make sure certain clients or officemates will be on the receiving end.
– I want to promote individual agencies more.
AABSA has targeted 10 agencies in each of 66 cities. The standout agencies are represented by 5 or more AABSA judges on staff. I would like to recognize these agencies and say thank you by featuring them in our newsletter.
If your agency has five or more judges, please email me and let me know their names and I will schedule an agency feature.
– I want to reward our client marketing managers.
Marketing managers are competitive. I have created a numerical score for each judge. If you are one of our top judges, your score will be in the 90 range. I will provide for you a certificate as an AABSA Creative Judge stating how high your score is, suitable for framing.
